Business manager vs PA… which one are you working with?

Hey Reader,

Let’s talk about business managers. Listen… we freaking adore our team of PAs. They are incredible and they execute like champs.

But we, Sara + Cristina, are not PAs, and we want to show you why that matters.

Here’s how we think about the difference between a business manager and a PA:

When you have a PA, you are responsible for tasking yourself and the PA.

(When you became an author, we highly doubt you were thinking “I just cannot wait to manage people and deadlines! Task management is my dreammmm.”)

When you have a business manager, we task you, we task ourselves, and we task our team of PAs.

As one of our clients put it: "You're like a manager with none of the consequences." 😆

The unique model of business management we implement is about shifting you out of the roles you never wanted—of managing people, projects, and timelines—and back into what you want to be spending time on—honing your craft, plotting, writing, and *gasp* resting.

It’s about reassessing and reallocating your time, your energy, and your interest. And, perhaps most importantly, it’s about reducing the mental load that you constantly carry for your whole team.

If this business management model sounds like what you didn’t know you needed—or didn’t even know existed—we’d love to hop on a live audit call with you to talk further.

We’ll start by assessing the capacity of your current team, so we know the exact gaps we need to help you fill… then we’ll talk about how to do just that.

Sara + Cristina

P.S. As we’re distinguishing between business managers and PAs, you might be wondering, can a PA become a business manager? With the right training, mentorship, and mindset shifts, we think a PA can step into a much more valuable role on any team…but only if that person is already exceptional!

Wondering about your PA specifically? This is something that will come up and get answered when you join us for the free live team audit we mentioned above!

Hey Reader, “Is there any risk to hiring a business manager from outside of the reader world?” That’s a real question we got when one of our earliest clients was in the process of hiring us. Our reply: It’s not only not a risk—it’s a major benefit. (This was several years ago, so now we’ve been around the block even more 😅) Here’s our rationale: We are results-oriented in a way that we know you are, too—but that we don’t often see elsewhere in the author world. A quick story to illustrate...
